The Hunter women's swimming team defeated St. Joseph's, 112 - 75, on Friday night. We swam exhibition the last 2 events. I did not forward these to CUNY because I did not know where to send them. Can somebody please do this? Here are some highlights:
Hunter's 200 Medley Relays finished first and second. The A Relay of Madeleine Hew, Carla Canning, Alexandra Rubiano and Lindsey Pero set a season (and conference best) time of 2:00.31.
All three swimmers in the 1,000 freestyle swam personal bests, with Irene Collins swimming a conference best time of 12:17.16. Amanda Iken finished second with her personal best of 12:40.00.
Hunter swept the 50 freestyle with Rubiano, Pero and Hew going first through third, respectively.
Carla Canning won the 200 IM and the 200 Breaststroke.
Rubiano and Pero finished first and second in the 200 butterfly, as did Madeleine Hew & Kelly Xue did in the 200 backstroke..
