UMass Divers Turn in Season Bests at UConn

Katie Polk and Nolan Burns each turned in their season-best efforts on the one-meter boards Saturday afternoon as the UMass divers face UConn in a diving-only competition.

Polk finished third to lead the Minutewomen with a score of 251.17, while Burns placed fourth in the event with a score of 244.87 points. Polk also finished sixth in the three-meter dive (223.88 pts), while Burns placed fifth (219.53).

Julia Jagannath led UMass with a season-best effort on the three-meter dive with a mark of 248.62 points. Emma Roush took third with her second-best mark of the season in the event recording 243.75 points.

Trent Kindvall placed ahead of Burns on the three-meter board with a score of 245.10 points which placed him fourth.

Roush and Jagannath finished sixth and seventh in the one-meter event with scores of 231.67 points and 222.97 points, respectively.

Kindvall rounded out UMass' efforts on the day with his second-best performance of the season on the one-meter board with a score of 268.04 points.

Both the men's and women's swimming and diving programs will return to action next Saturday with a dual meet at Brown in Providence, R.I. The meet is set for a 1 p.m. start.
