Nova Southeastern Men

David Van Der Colff, Cory Klemm, Stephen Klein and Quentin Muffat opened the men's afternoon with a win the in 400-yard medley relay, swimming a time of 3:31.92. Blake Woodrow followed with a convincing win in the 1650-yard freestyle, defeating his competitors by 16-plus seconds with a time of 16:43.09. Victor Tarin then swam a victorious NCAA B-Standard time of 1:40.10 in the 200-yard freestyle, which was trailed by Malique Elder's win in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.12.
 
In the 400-yard individual medley, the Sharks dominated, as Jean-David Rousseau, Woodrow and Thomas Rutherford finished in first, second and third place, respectively. Rousseau's winning time of 4:19.97 was followed by Thiago Sickert, who swam a NCAA B-Standard time of 1:49.75 in the 200-yard butterfly to secure victory. Van Der Colff followed with a second-place finish in the men's 100-yard freestyle, swimming a time of 48.34. Trailing Van Der Colff was Marco Aldabe, who cruised to victory in the eighth men's event of the day, the 200-yard backstroke, swimming a time 1:52.01.
 
The final three men's events were exhibitioned, meaning the times count but the Sharks were not swimming for points. Tarin swam a time of 4:40.07 in the 500-yard freestyle, followed by Cheyenne Rodriguez, who swam a 2:16.08 in the 200-yard breaststroke. The meet concluded with the 400-yard freestyle relay in which Tarin, Aldabe, Sickert and Elder swam a time of 3:06.25.
 
Nova Southeastern Women
 
The 400-medley relay A-team, consisting of Courney DeVeny, Malin Westman, Sydney Panzarino and Emma Wahlstrom swam a first-place time of 3:56.57 to begin the afternoon. Georgina Allin followed with a win in the 1650-free, swimming a time of 17:40.33. Freshman Caroline Oster continued to impress, as she took the win in the 200-free with a time of 1:58.90. Oster was trailed by Wahlstrom, who went on to win the 50-free with a time of 24.62. Wahlstrom's teammate Westman then won the 400-IM with a time of 4:42.68. After a quick break, Westman would take second place in the 200-fly, swimming a time of 2:14.55.
 
Jordan Shows, Brooke Munion and Melissa Karman took first, second and third in the women's 100-free, swimming times of 53.05, 54.21 and 55.19, respectively. Panzarino followed with a win in the 200-back, swimming a time of 2:12.10.
 
Just like the men, the women's final three events were exhibitioned. DeVeny swam a time of 5:13,71 in the 500-free, while Laura White went 2:26.06 in the 200-breast. The 400-free relay A-team, consisting of Wahlstrom, Melssa Karman, Shows and Munion, concluded the day with a swim of 3:34.70.
 
The Sharks will be back in action on November 21st when they play host to the University of Tampa Spartans. The meet is set to begin at 11 a.m.
