Luther's Huber Steps Down

Longtime Luther College head coach Lance Huber has stepped down.  Huber led the Norse for fourteen years and during his time led the small Iowa college to unprecedented heights.  Under Huber's direction, the Luther women and men combined to record 11 All-American and 14 honorable mention All-American honors.  Huber also spearheaded the effort to construct Luther's new aquatic center.

Huber's teams were also successful on the conference level - claiming five men's and eleven men's Liberal Arts Championships.  Assistant Coach Bethany Nicoll will take over in the interim.  Nicoll is a graduate of Luther and is in her third year as an assistant with the program.

Nicoll inherits a successful program that is currently ranked 34th among Division III women's teams.  Highlighting that group is two-time NCAA Division III champion Clare Slagel.  Slagel, a senior, won the 100 backstroke in 2015 and 200 backstroke in 2014.
