Northeastern Adds Treusdell from Penn State

Penn State's Kerry Treusdell is transferring to Northeastern University.  The distance freestyler enjoyed solid drops as a freshman for the Nittany Lions but couldn't crack the Big Ten Lineup.

"We are thrilled to have Kerry join our family. She is going to make an immediate splash in the CAA and can swim multiple freestyle distances. We are looking forward to seeing her thrive in our distance program."

Her times will slot her in as Northeastern's second-fastest distance swimmer and put her in contention for the Huskies' 800 Freestyle Relay.  Treusdell has been better short course than long and should be a scorer in the CAA.

Treusdell competed at C. Milton Wright High School as a freshman and sophomore, earning County All-Star recognition during each of her two seasons with the Mustangs. Having graduated as the school record holder in the 100 backstroke, Treusdell trained annually at the North Baltimore Aquatic Center. She was also a sectional swimmer in eight different events, including five freestyle events, the 100 and 200 backstroke, and the 400 IM.
