Fresno State Releases Schedule

 Fresno State swimming and diving head coach Jeanne Fleck announced the 2015-16 schedule on Thursday. Three home meets at the Aquatics Center highlight the schedule.
 
“We are really excited about this season and our schedule,” Fleck said. “We will be on the road a lot, but this will help us to be ready for the conference meet.”
 
The Bulldogs open the season Oct. 23-24 at the University of the Pacific Invitational before traveling to Nevada on Oct. 31 and back to Stockton on Nov. 7 to face Pacific and Oregon State.
 
The ‘Dogs first of three home meets this season will be on Nov. 14 against Fresno Pacific and UC Santa Cruz.
 
“Our home meets this season should be very competitive and will be great for our fans to come watch,” Fleck said.
 
Fresno State will then head to East Los Angeles College in Monterey Park, Calif., for the A3 Performance Invitational hosted by UC San Diego, Nov. 19-21.
 
Qualifying swimmers will then head to the 2015 AT&T Winter Nationals being held in Seattle, Dec. 2-5, where they will look to qualify for the Olympic trials for their respective countries. The divers will head to Athens, Ga., for the Georgia Diving Invitational, Dec. 4-6.
 
The ‘Dogs then open up the new year on Jan. 8 by heading to UC Davis before coming home to face Bakersfield on Jan. 9.
 
The team will then look to defend their Beach Cup title in San Diego, Jan. 15-16, after which the divers will travel to Los Angeles for the UCLA Diving Invitational, Jan. 15-17.
 
Fresno State will close out the year at home against San Jose State on Jan. 30.
 
The 2016 Mountain West Championships are being held Feb. 17-20 in College Station, Texas. The NCAA Zone Diving Championships run March 7-9 in Colorado Springs, Colo., and the NCAA Championships are held March 17-19 in Atlanta, Ga.
