Air Force Diving Invite Recaps

During the final day at the Air Force Diving Invitational, Jacob Crayne and Amanda Casillas both finished in the top five in their respected events.

On the men’s one-meter event, Jacob Crayne took second with a score of 357.70. He also took fourth on platform with a score of 312.15.

Amanda Casillas took third on the three-meter event with a score of 311.55. There were 55 other divers competing in the event.

“Once again Jake and Amanda had a stellar day,” said Utah head diving coach Richard Marschner. “I'm particularly proud of how well Amanda dived today, in finals in particular. I nearly scratched her from finals but she chose to gut it out and smashed her previous personal best score that she had just set in prelims. Jake was strong and steady all day and was just a bit off on a couple dives. Those two are diving extremely well right now.”

The Utah women’s swimming and diving team is back in action when they host Oregon State in a Pac-12 meet this Friday, Feb. 6. The meet is set to begin at 5 p.m. Both the men and women’s team will take on rival BYU that following Saturday, Feb. 7 at 11 a.m.
