North Florida Unveils Schedule

The North Florida Women's Swim Team have announced their schedule and opponents for the 2015-16 season. This year's slate includes three home meets in the month of October and non-conference meets against Tulane, Vanderbilt and Marshall.

"We feel that we have put together a competitive schedule for the young ladies this season, "said second-year Head Coach Ian Coffey. "Right from the start we have two conference champions (FGCU-CCSA & FIU-Conference USA) right here in Jacksonville so we're going to get a good taste of quality opponents early on."

The Ospreys open up their season on Saturday Oct. 3 with a tri-meet against FIU and Georgia Southern. It will be followed by two Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association meets on Oct. 10 and Oct. 17 that feature Campbell University, North Carolina A&T and FGCU. All three meets will take place at Semmes Aquatic Center on the campus of nearby Episcopal High School.

After a road bout with UNC Ashville on Nov. 7, North Florida will participate in the Florida Tech Invitational in Melbourne, Fla. The three-day invite begins on Friday Nov. 20 and wraps up on Sunday Nov. 22.
The Ospreys will wrap up their dual meet season after the New Year beginning in New Orleans to take on Tulane on Jan. 23. The final tune-up before CCSA Championships will be a tri-meet in Nashville with Vanderbilt and Marshall on Jan. 30.

The CCSA Championships will take place at the University of Georgia from Feb. 17-20. Under the Coffey's direction and an influx of new talent, the Ospreys will look to improve on an eighth place finish in CCSA Championships from a year ago. The Ospreys improved their championship point total by 118 points from a year ago.
