Bryant Hires Ginder as Grad Asistant

The Bryant University swimming and diving program and head coach Katie Cameron is excited to announce the hiring of Lisa Ginder, a former standout at the University of Denver, as a graduate assistant for the 2014-15 season.

"It is always exciting to bring a new, young coach on board," head coach Katie Cameron said. "Lisa brings with her a great passion for the sport and the athletes. She had a great career as a collegiate athlete and her two years of coaching at North Texas are going to be so beneficial."

Ginder comes to Smithfield after spending the last two seasons as a volunteer swim coach at the University of North Texas. She helped run the distance group practices and helped in recruiting in her time at North Texas. She has also coached at several different levels, working with the Timarron Tigersharks Swim Team, at Cherry Hills Country Club and at the Southern Methodist swim camp.

A 2012 graduate of UD, captained the Pioneers to back-to-back Sunbelt Conference titles in 2011 and 2012. A four-year All-American coming out of high school, Ginder won the Sunbelt Conference 500 free in 2008-09 with a conference record time that stood for three years. She also held the Denver school record in the 500 and capped her career by achieving NCAA "B" time standards in the 500 free, 400 IM and 200 fly.

Ginder, who received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Denver, will be in the MBA program at Bryant.
