Westminster Takes Second at Own Relays

The Westminster College men's and women's swimming & diving teams placed second at their season-opening Westminster Relays.

The Titan men's team placed second out of five schools with 96 points, while the Titan women's team placed second out of six schools with 100 points.

Gannon University's men's team won the event with 134 points, while the Gannon women's team won with 126 points.

The Westminster men's team won the 3x100 yard backstroke relay. The trio included senior Steven Brooks (Boardman, OH / Boardman), freshman Logan Gearhart (Warren, PA / Warren Area), and junior Austin Karper (Carlisle, PA / Carlisle) finished with a time of 2:40.38.

The Westminster women's team won the 3x100 breaststroke relay in a time of 3:37.70. The group included junior Sara Peace (Darlington, PA / Blackhawk), sophomore Mikayla Morrow (Columbiana, OH / Homeschool), and sophomore Sam Tower (Export, PA / Franklin Regional).

Westminster also finished second in 10 other relays (four by the women's team and six by the men's team).

The Titans are back in the pool tomorrow as they host Penn. State Behrend at 1 p.m. for their first dual meet of the season.
