Air Force Men Sweep North, South Dakota For Second Day in a Row

The Air Force men’s swimming team won a pair of dual meets in Grand Forks, N.D., Saturday, Oct, 18, defeating North Dakota (151.00-86.00) and South Dakota (164.00-73.00). The Falcons were 4-0 on the weekend in Grand Forks.

The men’s 400-yard medley relay team of Devon Davis, Michael Barnosky, Kevin Pollard and Jordan Dahle won with a time of 3:22.80. The team of Joey Gebhart, Zach Knoche, Sean Ledford and Michael Hannigan was second (3:26.75).

Freshman Garrett Glaudini won the 1650 freestyle with a time of 16:23. 80. Junior Kevin Jackson was second (16:27.16) while senior Alex Strom was third (16:29.56).

Air Force claimed the top two places in the 200-yard freestyle as junior Robby Graves was first (1:42.36) while Hannigan was second (1:42.84).

The Falcons swept the 100-yard freestyle as senior Ryan Dunne was first (45.27), Frank George (46.36) and Jordan Dahle (46.65). In the 50-yard freestyle, Dunne was second 21.11.

Air Force swept the 200-yard IM as Barnosky was first (1:55.97), Davis was second (1:56.53) while Kevin Faunter was third (1:57.06).
Sophomore Kris Tillery won the 200-yard backstroke (1:53.37) while junior Matthew Walls was third (1:56.50).Barnosky won the 200-yard breaststroke (2:06.77). In the 200-yard butterfly, Ledford was first with a time of 1:53.75.

In diving, junior Nathan Zillweger won the one-meter event with 317.70 points while junior Dominic Vallejo was second 282.00. Zillweger also won the three-meter with 307.30 points. Vallejo was second (269.25) while sophomore A.J. Eckebrecht was third (249.50).
