Westminster Wins 200th Meet

The Westminster College women's swimming & diving team, under veteran head coach Rob Klamut, won its 200th dual meet in the program's history on Saturday after a 166-119 win at Chatham University on Saturday.

Klamut was named the first-ever head coach of the Titan women's swimming & diving team in 1987.

Westminster improved to 5-1 overall and 3-0 in the Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC). The Cougars dropped to 1-2 overall and 0-2 in the conference.

The Titans won 10 events, not including two events in which Westminster used exhibition swimmers.

Sophomore Mikayla Morrow (Columbiana, OH / Homeschool) won a pair of individual events and was also part of a winning relay team. Morrow won the 100 breaststroke (1:13.10) and the 200 IM (2:22.79). She was also the second leg in the 200 medley relay team that won with a time of 1:57.35. Senior Marina Rozick (Pittsburgh, PA / North Allegheny), first-year Megan Douds (Bethel Park, PA / Bethel Park), and senior Rebecca Mobley (Gibsonia, PA / Pine-Richland) completed the quartet.

Junior Kelsey Reott (Butler, PA / Slippery Rock) and sophomore Sam Tower (Export, PA / Franklin Regional) each won a pair of events. Reott won the 1,000 freestyle (11:14.29) and the 100 butterfly (1:02.62). Tower touched first in the 200 freestyle (2:04.03) and in the 100 freestyle (57.63).

Also picking up victories for Westminster were first-year Lindsay Homan (Penfield, NY / Penfield) in the 200 butterfly (2:15.85), senior Ashley Wyland (Pittsburgh, PA / Taylor Allderdice) in the 50 freestyle (25.93), and sophomore Anne Tillie (Fallston, MD / Fallston) in the 200 backstroke (2:19.52).

Westminster is back in action December 4 when it competes at the three-day Wooster Invitational.
