TYR Invite Recaps - Day 1

Air Force

Air Force sophomore Genevieve Miller set a new school record, and a new pool record, in the 500 free with a time of 4:43.96, at the TYR Invitational, hosted by Northwestern University, in Evanston, Ill.

At the end of the first day, Air Force is in third place with 173 points. Northwestern leads the meet with 366 points, followed by Michigan State with 287. Illinois-Chicago is in fourth (108) while St. Louis is fifth (95), Truman State is sixth (84) and Northern Iowa is seventh (36).

Kim Davis won the 200 yard IM (2:02.34). Brianna Mount was third in the 50-yard free 23.62.  The Falcon 400 yard medley relay team of Elise Hart, Kira Schlosberg, Maria Schroeder and Brianna Mount was third (3:47.76). Sara Menke was third in the 500 free with a time of 4:49.09.  Kira Schlosberg was eighth in the 50 yard breaststroke (30.75).

Air Force continues competition in the TYR Invitational on Saturday, Nov. 22, in Evanston, Ill.
