Wagner Adds 10

After Wagner won the 2014 Northeast Conference swimming and diving Championship for the first time in program history, head coach Colin Shannahan and the defending NEC Wagner women's swimming and diving team has announced the program's Class of 2018, which is comprised of nine freshmen and one junior transfer student.

The Class of 2018 consists of 10 swimmers and divers from six different states, and includes Leahi Camacho, Michelle Detka, Enn Finn, Kristy Hesssing, Sammy Lavrich, Maddie McNichol, Jenna Santora, Maggie Slocomb, Grace Solipaca, and Kristine Sullivan.

"This freshmen class marks an exciting era for Wagner Swimming and Diving," said Shannahan "Coming off of our first program championship, this group of dynamic young women will provide us with more depth, charisma, and talent. We are confident that each of these student-athletes will make an immediate impact on our team and our conference. "

Here is a closer look at the new Seahawks:

Leahi Camacho- Kailua Kona, Hawaii

Leahi joins the Wagner program from Kealakehe High School in where she helped the Waveriders to a pair of state championships.

Michelle Detka- Buckeye, Arizona

Detka comes to the Seahawks after transferring from the University of Houston where she competed in three different events during the American Athletic Conference Championships. Prior to her time with Houston she was a four year varsity swimmer at Verrado High School in.

Enn Finn- Middletown, New Jersey

Finn joins Wagner after winning the Most Valuable Player award for Middletown North's swimming team her senior year and is the school record holder in the 200 and 400 medley relay.

Kristy Hessing- Bloomington, Indiana

Hessing joins the Green and White from the Normal Community High School where she earned four varsity letters.  She helped the Ironman win four conference championships in a row and is also the school record holder in the 200 medley relay and the 400 freestyle relay.

Sammy Lavrich– Audubon, Pennsylvania

Lavrich is a diver from Methacton High School in Eagleville, PA. During her time with the Warriors she helped Methacton to three-straight conference championships, and she is the school record owner for the six and 11 dive list.

Maddie McNichol- Downingtown, Pennsylvania                                                                                                              

McNichol was a four year All-District and three year All-American for Henderson High School, helping the Warriors to a pair of conference championships.

Jenna Santora- Somers Point, New Jersey

Santora joins the Seahawks from Mainland Regional High School where she was a four time Cape Atlantic League Champion and is the school record holder in the 11 dive.
 
Maggie Slocomb- Landenburg, Pennsylvania

Slocomb joins the Wagner swimming and diving team after being named All-State four years in a row at St. Marks high school and was the state champion in the 200 IM for the Spartans. 

Grace Solipaca- Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Solipaca joins the Green and White from Bishop Eustace High School where she placed among the top-10 at states her senior year and the top-12 for states her junior year.

Kristine Sullivan- Overland Park, Kansas

Sullivan comes to the Wagner program from Notre Dame de Sion High School where she competed at the state championship all three years that she was on the varsity team and is the school record holder in the 200 free, 200 IM, and the 100 free.
