Head to Head Matchups Highlight Endless Pools Division II

When Indianapolis beat visiting Grand Valley last week they sent the seniors out with one final home-pool win.  They also sent the Greyhounds to the top of the Endless Pools/CollegeSwimming.com Men's Division II Top 25.  UC-San Diego's women maintained their spot atop the women's rankings with a win over California Baptist.  The Lancers jumped to #2 in the women's rankings.  The ranking accounts for teams' top performances over the preceding month and is the only objective ranking of swimming for NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, NAIA,

While Grand Valley's men suffered a 181-119 setback at Indianapolis, the Lakers ranked second, just ahead of previously top-ranked UC-San Diego.  Lindenwood, Ashland,Cal Baptist, Wingate, Wayne State, Queens University of Charlotte and Southern Connecticut filled in the top ten.

In the women's rankings, Wayne State dropped a spot to third while Ashland jumped up thirteen spots to fourth.  Delta State remained in fifth for the second straight week.  LIU Post, Queens (NC), Indianapolis, Grand Valley and Wingate wrapped up the top ten.

The rankings cover performances from December 23-January 19 and utilize a new point system based on a 1,100 point scale.  The new scale uses NCAA time standards and a percentile ranking of all times over the past four years.  (Read More at our Point FAQ.)
