Ball State Falls to Miami (OH)

The Ball State men’s swimming and diving team honored five in its final dual meet of the season. Ball State dropped a 135-93 decision to the Miami RedHawks. Senior Drew Tharp and freshman Logan Kisinger picked up wins on the day for the Cardinals.

Kisinger gave the Cardinals their first win of the meet in the fourth event in the 50 free when he posted a season-best time of 21.94. Three events later, Tharp would turn in a season-best time of 1:52.40 in the 200 fly to claim first place.

In the diving competition, Brehmer earned the top mark in the 1-meter diving with a score of 329.10. The senior earned a score of 294.23 in the 3-meter event.

Posting season bests for Ball State were Conner Snare and Jacob Eckert. Snare finished with a time of 2:18.70 in the 200 breast while Eckert touched at 2:02.31 in the 200 fly.

Ball State Athletics would like to congratulate Jake Brehmer, Tucker Hale, Michael Oaks, Drew Tharp and Cameron Watters on their years on the men’s swimming and diving team and wish them luck in the future!

The team wraps up its regular season schedule and will turn its attention to the MAC Championship that will take place Mar. 6-8 in Buffalo, N.Y.
