Bogdanovski of Johns Hopkins Named Bluegrass Conference Women's Swimmer of the Year

The honors continue to roll in for Johns Hopkins Ana Bogdanovski as the junior was recently named the Bluegrass Mountain Conference Women's Swimmer of the Year. The honor comes on the heels of being named the 2014 Collegiate Women's Sports Award DIII Woman of the Year nominee for swimming & diving.

Bogdanovski was named the Collegiate Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Division III Swimmer of the Year after winning six titles at the 2014 NCAA Swimming & Diving Championship last month. In addition to winning the 50 and 200 Free, she was a member of four of the five relay teams that swept the podium at the NCAA Championship and anchored three of the teams in come-from-behind victories. She swam on the 200, 400 and 800 Free and 400 Medley Relay teams, as Hopkins became the first team since 2004 to sweep the relays.

Bogdanovski's six titles helped Johns Hopkins to a program-best third-place finish with 387 total points. She earned a total of seven All-America honors at the championship as she also grabbed a runner-up finish in the 100 Free. Bogdanovski also broke six school records, including the 50, 100 and 200 Free - records that she already held. At the 2014 Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championship, she won titles in the 100 and 200 Free as well as the 400 and 800 Free Relays. She also owns conference records in the 50, 100 and 200 Free as well as all five relays
