Cal Women, Michigan Men Top Endless Pools Rankings

Cal Women, Michigan Men Top Endless Pools Rankings The University of California women and University of Michigan men top the 2013-14 Endless Pools/CollegeSwimming.com Top 25.  The ranking accounts for teams' top performances over the preceding month and is the only objective ranking of college swimming for NCAA Divisions I, II, and III, NAIA, and NJCAA.

The Golden Bears top the women's ranking after a 238-210 defeat of second-ranked Florida.  The Gators were much closer from a performance standpoint illustrating Florida's tremendous depth.  California achieved eighteen NCAA 'B' Cuts with Florida achieving sixteen.  Six swims expected to be fast enough to be invited to the NCAA Division I Championships in March.

On the men's side, defending NCAA Champion Michigan topped the ranking by a significant margin.  The Wolverines, who also ranked first in the CSCAA Dual-Meet Rankings enjoyed a win over fourth-ranked Texas and 22nd-ranked Indiana.

This year's rankings utilize a new point system based on a 1,100 point scale.  The new scale uses NCAA time standards and a percentile ranking of all college times over the past four years.  (Read More at our Point FAQ
