Bucknell Invite Recaps: Day 2

After the second day of action at Bucknell’s Kinney Natatorium, the Delaware women’s swimming and diving team dropped to third place while the Blue Hen men remain sixth.
 
Both squads tallied one top-three finish in day two of competition.
 
Sophomore diver Kristina Congdon registered the second top-three finish of the Bucknell Invitational as she placed second in today’s 3-meter event (291.30).
 
The men’s 800 freestyle relay team that consisted of Everett Albert, Sihan Liu and Alex Hillsley, garnered a third place finish with a time of 6:52.38.
 
The Delaware women’s 800 freestyle relay squad of Dominique Montoya, Mary Kay Harris, Brittany Lazear and Laura Askin, placed fifth (7:48.94) in the event. Alyssa Sanders registered her own individual fifth place finish in the 100 backstroke (57.87).
 
Matt Marquez and Hillsley each tallied fifth place finishes for the Blue Hen men. Marquez finished the 200 freestyle in 1:42.95 while Hillsley completed the 100 backstroke in 51.15.
 
Both the Delaware men and women will wrap up the Bucknell Invitational Sunday, Nov. 24 at 5 p.m.
