At the mid-point of the 2013-14 season, the Ivy League established
itself as the strongest conference in the Endless Pools /
CollegeSwimming.com Mid-Season Mid-Major Power Rankings.
Princeton University topped the ranking of performances among teams
that do not benefit from large scale football or basketball
conferences or those teams that provide fewer than one-half of the
allowable scholarships under the NCAA rules. Boise State's
women and Harvard's men ranked second
respectively. The Princeton and Harvard men were
the only Mid-Major programs to crack the overall Division I Top
25.
The Ivy League placed twelve teams (seven men, five women) into the
Mid-Major Top 25. That was double of C-USA (four women, two
men's) and the WAC (four men and two women) conferences. All
eight Ivy league schools ranked among the Mid-Major Top 50.
The ranking accounts for teams' top performances over the Fall
Semester and is the only objective ranking of swimming for NCAA
Divisions I, II, and III, NAIA, and NJCAA. (Read More at our Point FAQ.)
