UCSD, Grand Canyon Remain Atop Division II Poll

There was no change atop the top three spots of the Endless Pools / CollegeSwimming.com Division II Top 25 for meets swum October 15-November 4, 2012.  For the second-straight week Grand Canyon University led the men's ranking while UC-San Diego topped the women's Top 25.  Both squads improved upon their previous week's scores. 

On the women's side defending NCAA Champion Drury remained in second followed by GCU.  Florida Southern moved ahead of Incarnate Word and Tampa on the basis of its performance against Florida State and Emory Universities.  Wingate, Saint Cloud State and Clarion all made their debuts while Nova Southeastern rounded out the top ten.

UCSD posted the second-best score of the year among Division II teams, but Grand Canyon's upset win over Arizona State kept the Antelopes just ahead of the Tritons.  Drury remained in third for the second-straight week.  Fourth-ranked Wingate knocked Florida Southern, Incarnate Word, Bridgeport and Ashland each down a spot while Missouri S&T made its debut at #9.  Wayne State improved its score, but it wasn't enough to prevent the Warriors from dropping two spots. 

Little change is expected in the next week with the top five teams from each ranking idle in the coming week.

The Points for the Endless Pools / CollegeSwimming.com Top 25 are calculated using the average percentile rank of each team's top twenty-seven in each meet.  The Top 25 are ranked according on the basis of each team's highest-scoring meet within the previous three weeks.
