Marshall Coach Resigns Amid Arrest

Just days after the Mid-American Conference Championships, Marshall University head coach Russell Hunt has resigned.  The announcement was made via a release sent to CollegeSwimming.com.

In the statement, Marshall AD Mike Hamrick stated"I would like to thank Russell for his contributions to our program.  We wish him the best of luck moving forward and will start the search for his successor in the near future."

According to the Marshall University Police Department, Hunt was arrested for possession of marijuana while on campus report states Hunt was caught smoking marijuana in Gullickson Hall, near Fitch Natatorium.  He was transported to the Cabell County Courthouse and released on his own recognizance.
