Grove City leads both championships. The Wolverine women have amassed 611 points followed by Westminster (428.5), W&J (416), Saint Vincent (301.5), Chatham (110) and Bethany (75).
The GCC men (542) continue to lead Westminster (472), W&J (276) and Saint Vincent (206).
Freshman Charlotte Lima (Brooklyn, N.Y./Choate Rosemary Hall) continued to impress during the championship meet as she took second place in the 100 backstroke (59.46). Last night, during the first leg of the of the 400 medley relay, she set a new school 100 backstroke record with a time of 58.81.
Senior C.J. Corcoran (Harleysville, Pa./Souderton) claimed third place in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.32), while sophomore Rosemarie O’Connor (Staten Island, N.Y./Curtis) took fifth behind Lima in the 100 backstroke (1:00.83).
Seniors Brittany Vogel (Butler, Pa./Butler) and Ellie Tecza (Pittsburgh, Pa./Schenley), freshman Jessica Sweitzer (Laurel, Md./Seton Keough) and O’Connor teamed to take third place in the 800 freestyle relay (7:56.46).
The W&J men’s squad was led by a fourth-place finish from senior Michael Boutwell (Winchester, Va./John Handley) in the 400 IM (4:18.51). Classmate Jonathan Weeks (Donora, Pa./Ringgold) also took fifth in the 100 butterfly (52.59).
The third and final day of the PAC Championships begins Saturday with the preliminary round at 10:00 am. The final two diving competitions will be held as W&J looks to sweep all four events for the second-straight season.
