Former N.C. State Star Jones Takes Silver in 50 Free
Three current and former NCAA swimming stars claimed medals on Friday in London

Former N.C. State star Cullen Jones earned the silver medal in the men's 50 freestyle (21.54), just ahead of former Auburn NCAA champion Cesar Cielo (21.58) representing Brazil. Florent Manaudou of France claimed gold in 21.34.

Florida's Elizabeth Beisel earned her second individual medal of the Games with a third-place finish in the 200 backstroke. Beisel earned bronze in 2:06.55, behind only USA teammate Missy Franklin, who set a world record of 2:04.06, and Russia's Anastasia Nueva (2:05.92).
