The MAAC Swimming and Diving Championships concluded tonight at the Flickinger Center in downtown Buffalo. Marist women’s team repeated as victors and the Loyola’s men’s team successfully got their three-peat.

The women’s 1650-yard freestyle saw the meet’s Most Outstanding Swimmer, Kate Conard, set a new meet record with a time of 16:40.23. Conard completed her sweep of the weekend’s distance events as well as playing as an anchor on the 800 and 400 yard free relays for Marist.

Brennan Morris was named the men’s Most Outstanding Swimmer after he also completed a sweep of the distance events as well as playing a role on two Loyola relays that won gold. In tonight’s 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 15:19.39 he set the MAAC record.

Loyola men took home the men’s 400 yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:02.17 which saw 100 yard freestyle champion, Scott Heil lead off with a 44.81 which was faster than his record breaking performance in tonight’s 100 yard final.

Marist women’s team took home the 400 yard freestyle relay with a 3:28.39. Conard held off Rider’s Addison Oswald in the final leg.

In diving, Ian O’Rourke of Niagara won the 1M competition, two days after he won the 3M. Tonight’s score of 314.40 was enough to hold off Rider’s Brendan Cavallaro. Cavallaro was also the runner-up on Thursday night. O’Rourke and Rider’s Aisley Carter won Diver’s of the Meet.

Lovro Bilonic of Saint Peters won the 200-yard breaststroke in a record time of 1:58.46. Bilonic repeated his title from last season.
