Bentley Sweeps Le Moyne

The senior year for Bentley University standout Anne Kaduboski (Dedham/ Dedham HS) got off to an impressive start as she posted two “B” cut times, broke a pool record and won two individual events while helping the Bentley women’s swim team post a season-opening 172-108 victory over Le Moyne College Saturday afternoon at the Dana Center pool.

Kaduboski began her final season by teaming with freshman Jae Shin (Lancaster/Nashoba Reg. HS) and sophomores Jessica Hodsdon (Brewer, Maine/Brewer HS) and Monika Drogosz (Unionville, Conn./Farmington HS) for a winning time of 1:52.85 in the 200 yard medley relay.

In her first individual swim of the season, Kaduboski broke her own school record and recorded a “B” cut time while winning the 200 yard butterfly by more than 19 seconds with a time of 2:08.71.  Later, she achieved another “B” cut with a winning effort of 58.87 seconds in the 100 fly. Her afternoon also included a second place in the 200 backstroke (2:09.89).

Hodsdon and freshman Kellen Power (San Jose, Calif./Valley Christian HS) each won three individual events. Hodsdon, who had an outstanding rookie year, touched first in the 100 breaststroke (1:08.76), the 50 free (25.41) and the 200 individual medley (2:18.75). Power recorded winning performances of 2:01.86 in the 200 free, 56.58 in the 100 free and 5:29.72 in the 500 free in her collegiate debut.

Bentley’s other individual winners were Boretti in the 1000 free (11:12.35), sophomore Shelley D’Aleo (Enfield, Conn./Suffield Academy) in the one-meter diving (221.35) and freshman Erin Campbell (Marshfield/Marshfield HS) in the 200 breast (2:35.53).

Chan swam the opening leg and was followed into the pool by senior Matt Cesaro (Avon, Conn./Avon HS), freshman Steve Sylvia (Westerly, R.I./Westerly HS) and Ouellette, with the quartet combining for a time of 1:32.86.
