“It was great to have Tyler Pennington racing really well today in the 400 IM and 200 fly,” said Schrader. “I also think Scott Madaras had a nice win in the fly for us today as well. Also turning in a strong performance was Blake Worsley, who just got it done today with his wins in the 200 and 100, and his anchor leg was truly solid with the 400 freestyle relay win.”
The Pioneers return to action on Friday, Jan. 23 and Saturday, Jan. 24 as they travel to South Bend, Ind., to take part in the Shamrock Invitational. Denver will face Notre Dame, Michigan State and West Virginia in the all-day, two-day meet.
