
Harvard and Navy lead the latest CSCAA/ CollegeSwimming.com Division I Mid-Major Rankings. In the women's ranking, Harvard (6-1) moved up from second to displace Miami University (OH) for the top spot.
On the men's side Navy (17-2) held onto
The lone Crimson setback came to Ivy rival Princeton University. The Tigers captured the final 2007-08 Mid-Major ranking, but have opted not to participate in this year's ranking thus far. Navy is on track to defend its 2007-08 Mid-Major title.
Miami, which captured the women's 2003-04 Mid-Major title dropped one spot to second while Denver, Towson and William and Mary rounded out the top five. Florida Gulf Coast University, Oakland, Navy, Missouri State and James Madison completed the women's top ten.
On the men's side, there were no changes among the top five. Missouri State (2004-05 men's Mid-Major champion), Denver, Oakland and UC-Davis made up the top five. Rounding out the men's top ten were Cornell, Western Kentucky, Army, New Orleans and Davidson.
The CollegeSwimming.com rankings are based on each team's best dual
meet lineup as judged and submitted by participating teams. Rankings
are announced four times throughout the season - November (Pre-Invite),
December (Post-Invite), February (Pre-Conference), and March
(Post-Conference).
