Kenyon Sits Atop Division III Poll

Kenyon College sits atop the inaugural 2008 CollegeSwimming.com Dual Meet Poll. Kenyon earned just over half of the fist-place votes. The Lords and Ladies swept their conference rival Denison University, and own perfect 2-0 dual meet records over Division III programs.

Emory University sits in second behind the defending national champions. The Eagles received two fewer first-place votes than Kenyon. Denison University ranked third in both polls.

In all, eighty-six teams were represented in the two polls. The next ranking will be posted just prior to the Christmas holiday and show significant change. Several East-coast programs, including six institutions from last-year’s final ranking (Williams, Tufts, MIT, Colby, Wheaton (MA) and Wesleyan did not see significant competition prior to the November 17 reporting deadline.

The CollegeSwimming.com rankings are based on each team's best dual meet lineup as judged by voting coaches. Rankings are announced four times throughout the season.
