Arizona takes a 19-point lead into day 2 of the NCAA Championships...
By Dana Kirk

The night belonged to Arizona's relays and to Florida's Caroline Burckle, as both groups started the meet off in record setting fashion. Arizona started things off with a 1:26.70, good enough for an American, US Open, NCAA, and NCAA Meet record. This performance was immediately followed by Burckle, whose 4:33.60 broke Janet Evan's 18-year-old NCAA and NCAA Meet records.
Ava Ohlgren took the 200 IM, like expected in a 1:53.94, missing the NCAA and NCAA meet record by a mere .03. Lara Jackson led a pack of Arizona sprinters with a 21.69, the third fastest time in NCAA history. Texas had a strong showing in the 1-m diving competition as Mary Yarrison and Kathyrn Kelly took 2nd and 4th respectively.
Arizona brought the meet full circle with a 3:29.06 setting the American, US Open, NCAA, and NCAA Meet records.
