The SUNY-Geneseo men's swimming and diving team won their tenth consecutive and 15th of the last 19 while the Geneseo women captured their first SUNYAC team title in four years with 801 points over second place SUNY New Paltz's 607 points 

SUNYAC Swimming and Diving championship at Erie Community College tonight as they finished with 892.5 points to second place Cortland's 683.5. All tolled, Geneseo posted five school records, three SUNYAC records and five NCAA provisional qualifying times over the three-day meet and head coach Paul Dotterweich earned SUNYAC Coach of the Year.

On Saturday, Geneseo set three school records, one SUNYAC record and posted two NCAA provisional qualifying time. Geneseo's 400 freestyle relay team of Drew Rogers, Sig Culhane, Charlie Hake and John Zolna concluded the meet for the Blue Wave by winning in a SUNYAC and school record and NCAA provisional time of 3:06.35. First year Russell Sullivan won the 200 back in a school record time of 1:56.35 and classmate Andrew Gorcica finished second in the 200 breast in a time of 2:10.59. Zolna placed second in the 100 free in an NCAA provisional time of 46.49 and senior Chris Norton was first in the 200 fly in a time of 1:56.43.

On Friday, Geneseo had one winner as the 800 free relay team of Rogers, Hake, Dan Szajta and Culhane won in a time of 7:00.28. The Blue Wave posted four second place performances in Sean Kennedy in the 400 IM (4:16.69), Norton in the 100 fly (51.65), Culhane in the 200 free in 1:43.51 and Sullivan in the 100 back (53.52).

On Thursday, the Blue Wave set two school and SUNYAC records and posted three NCAA provisional times. Hake and John Zolna blistered the 50 freestyle as Hake, who set a school and SUNYAC record with an NCAA provisional time of 20.73 in the morning preliminaries, won first with a 20.79 and Zolna placed second with an NCAA provisional time of 20.96. The pair teamed with juniors Clint Sugnet and Culhane to win the 200 free relay in a school and SUNYAC record and NCAA provisional time of 1:23.33. In addition, Sullivan, Gorcica, Norton and Zolna won the 400 medley relay in a time of 3:30.43 and Culhane placed second in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:46.62.

On the women's side, Geneseo returned to the top spot en route to fourteen school records, five SUNYAC records, and 11 NCAA Cuts. n Saturday, the team set five school and two SUNYAC records with two NCAA provisional qualifying times. The meet concluded with the 400 freestyle relay team of first year Michelle Rodriguez, sophomore Katie Linehan, senior Maren MacDonald and first year Jennifer Anthone smashing the school and SUNYAC record with an NCAA provisional time of 3:33.24. Junior Jessie Cocco set the school and SUNYAC record in the 200 breast with an NCAA provisional time of 2:25.33. The other school records were set by Natalie Thorpe in the 200 back in 2:10.37, Rodriguez in the 100 free in 53.34 and Lindsay Dressel in the 200 fly in 2:10.66.

On Friday, Geneseo set two SUNYAC records, six school records and posted five NCAA provisional qualifying times. Thorpe won the 400 IM in a school and SUNYAC record and NCAA provisional time of 4:34.55 and teamed with Anthone, MacDonald and Rodriguez to shatter the school and SUNYAC record in the 800 freestyle relay with an NCAA provisional time of 7:50.40. First year Daina Bouquin won the 100 fly in a school record time of 59.57. Geneseo had three second place finishes that resulted in school records and NCAA provisional times in first year Rodriguez in the 200 free (1:55.25), Cocco in the 100 breast (1:07.08) and the 200 medley relay team of Liz Krause, Cocco, Bouquin and Anthone (1:48.70).

On Thursday, Geneseo set three school and one SUNYAC record and swam four NCAA provisional times tonight. The 200 freestyle relay team of Anthone, sophomore Katie Linehan, Cocco and Rodriguez set a school and SUNYAC record with an NCAA provisional time of 1:36.72. The other provisional times were posted by Thorpe in the 200 IM with a first place, school record time of 2:10.16, Anthone in the 50 free with a second place time of 24.38 and the 400 medley relay team of Thorpe, Cocco, Bouquin and Rodriguez with a second place, school record time of 4:00.17. In addition, Rodriguez won the 500 free in 5:13.93 and Dressel finished third in the 200 IM in 2:13.13.
