The Amherst 200 free relay team comprised of Tad Homchick, Alex Fraser, Andrew Maslan and Christian Witzke set a new NESCAC meet and Middlebury pool record, winning the event with a time of 1:23.19. The Williams 400 medley team of Worth Macdonald, Tyler Bonewell, Alex Wentworth-Ping and Ben Wampler won the event and set a new pool record with a 3:24.83 effort.
Two Middlebury swimmers broke records Friday evening, as Schuyler Beeman set a new meet and pool record with a time of 20.56 to capture the 50 free. Teammate Kevin O’Rourke won the 500 free in 4:32.76, a new pool record.
The other record-breaker on Friday night was Norman Scott of Williams, who set a new NESCAC meet and pool record with a time of 22.38 in the 50 fly.
