Meet Results

The University of Toledo took a 33 point lead over second place Ohio after the second day of competition at the 2008 MAC Women's Swimming and Diving Championship held at Alumni Arena Natatorium. The Rockets were paced by Meg Reissig and Leah Woodard, who won the 200IM and the 50 free, respectively.

Eastern Michigan's Maddy Pilchard established a league record in the 500 free in capturing that event for the third consecutive year.

The competition continues with events Friday and Saturday.

Highlights:

Maddy Pilchard (EMU) broke the MAC and MAC meet record in the 500 free (4:46.83), her third straight win in the event. She also set a B cut.

Meg Reissig (Toledo) broke the MAC, MAC meet and UB pool records and set a B to win the 200 IM (2:01.24).

Leah Woodard (Toledo) tied her pool record that she set this morning in winning the 50 free in a B cut mark of 23.05.

EMU's 200 free relay (Ricard,Lee Ha, Burandt and Pilchard) set the MAC,  MAC meet and pool records in winning the event in 1:32.08, also setting a B cut.
