Shaw, Piletski, and Zerwick reach NCAA Cuts

Junior Kevin Shaw, Sophomore Sergey Piletski and Freshman Andrew Zerwick reached their first NCAA Division II Cuts this past weekend, competing in the Finis Collegiate Invitational at Long Beach, CA.

Shaw shattered his previous personal best in the 400 IM using a strong second half to achieve his first NCAA "A" standard, while also achieving "B" cuts in the 200 IM, 100 BR, and 200 BR.

Piletski achieved his "B" cuts in the 200 IM and 200 BR.  He just missed "B" cuts in the 200 BA and 100 BR as well.

Zerwick achieved his "B" cut in the 200 BA, while just missing in the 100 BA.

Mines next action will be against the defending NCAA Division I National Champions, University of Arizona Wildcats, in Tucson, AZ, on January 2, 2009.
