St. Norbert Collegeathletics director Tim Bald has announced the hiring of Erin Wood as head women's swimming and diving coach.
Wood, an assistant for the past three seasons, replaces Jeremy Moeller. Moeller, the head coach for the past five seasons, left to take the assistant position at UW-Green Bay.
"I am pleased Erin Wood will be taking over the reign of the women's program," Bald said. "Having been an assistant coach as well as a former student-athlete and graduate of St. Norbert, Erin is uniquely qualified to lead the women's swimming program."
Wood is a 2004 graduate of St. Norbert with a double major in Spanish and international studies. Wood, a Green Bay native and graduate of Bay Port High SChool, was a four-year letterwinner in swimming and was also the team captain. Wood also has coaching experience with the Howard-Suamico Stormbreakers club since November 1999.
The move is the latest in a string of coaching changes to hit the Fox Valley area. In addition to the moves by Wood and Moeller, Jon Wilson will be returning to the Badger state. The former Northern Michigan and Ripon College coach has been hired at UW-Oshkosh while Lawrence looks to replace longtime head coach Kurt Kirner who will become the women's coach at Hillsdale
