The Wright State swimming and diving teams opened up the season with a dual meet victory over Horizon League foe Milwaukee on Friday evening at the WSU Natatorium. The men posted a 152-88 decision over the Panthers and the women took the meet from UWM by a score of 144-95.
On the men's side of things, WSU posted a victory in every swimming event and placed second in the two diving events on their way to the victory. Scott Lang, Zach Fisher and Warren Thompson each posted two victories in the meet and three other Raiders posted individual wins.
For the women, five different swimmers posted wins and Jessica Weidert led the way with a pair of victories in the 200 IM and the 200 Breaststroke. The Green and Gold posted wins in ten of the eleven swimming events and Stevi DiMasso placed third and fourth respectively in the two diving events.
The men and women each improve to 1-0 overall this season and will next host Green Bay at WSU Natatorium on Thursday, October 25. The Raiders and Phoenix will take to the pool starting at 5:00.
