The 2008 College Swimming Coaches Association of America is pleased to announce that Dr. Myles Brand, President of the NCAA, will be speaking at our 2008 Convention in Tuscon. Dr Brand is slated to speak on Friday, May 23rd, and plans to stay several days.

CSCAA President George Kennedy said, "We are thrilled that Dr Brand will be our first speaker on Friday as a 'keynote' talk." Kennedy also asked for support from coaches by attending the 2008 Convention. "Dr. Brand can be a major player in our quest to strengthen collegiate swimming at all levels. Our goal is to have a "packed house" with "standing room only" during his talks."

The 2008 CSCAA Convention will begin on Friday, May 23rd, with a short address from CSCAA Executive Director Phil Whitten. The annual awards dinner will be held on Saturday evening May 24th. Outstanding speakers are scheduled between the time of Dr Whitten's welcome and the dinner. This year's format (Friday-Sunday) will enable more coaches to attend. The convention will be held at the Westin La Paloma, one of the top rated resorts in America.

The 2009 Convention will be held in Chicago.
