.: Princeton Men Defeat Oakland 178-122

PRINCETON, NJ , November 9th, 2007

Sophomore Marcin Unold finished first in four events, including the 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard backstroke with times of 50.01 and 1:52.44, respectively, to lead the Oakland University men’s swimming and diving team at Princeton on Friday. The Golden Grizzlies fell to the Tigers, 178-122.
 
Unold was also part the winning 200 medley relay team of senior Zoltan Horvath, senior Chris Tansel and junior Andy Kellogg that clocked a time of 1:32.33, and the same group won the 400 free relay with a time of 3:03.35.
 
Horvath posted a pair of wins for the Golden Grizzlies. He clocked a time of 56.69 in the 100 breaststroke and swam a time of 2:06.29 in the 200 breast to touch the wall in first place. Horvath also finished second in the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:54.94.
 
Senior Ryan Kish won the one-meter springboard with a score of 275.03 to round out first-place finishers for the Grizzlies. Junior Aaron Holdsworth recorded two runner-up finishes for Oakland in the 500 free (4:40.70) and 200 butterfly (1:51.25).
 
Junior Andy Kellogg posted a time of 46.57 in the 100 free to finish in second place for the Golden Grizzlies.
 
Oakland will take a couple of weeks off before heading to the Miami Invitational, Nov. 29-Dec. 1.
