The Fordham University men's and women's swimming and diving squads completed their second straight sweep tonight with the women defeating Stony Brook, 141-95, and the men upending the Seawolves, 140-103, in the Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center. With the win, the Fordham women remain undefeated at 3-0 on the year, while the men improve to 2-1.

Leading the women were Amanda Ciccone and Marisa Colangelo, who each won two events. Ciccone won the 100 (54.57) and 200 freestyles (1:56.45) while Colangelo took first on both the one (240.45) and three meter (226.50) boards.

Also winning events for the Rams were Caitlin Napoli, who won the 1000 free (10:28.57) and placed second in the 200 back (2:09.36); Ashley Ukleja, who took the 500 free (5:11.95) and was second in 1000 free (10:33.76); Nicole Marshall, who took first in the 200 IM (2:11.96); Natazia Fistrovic, who was victorious in the 200 fly (2:10.77) and Christina Cosentino, who won the 200 back (2:08.32).

Other women who scored for the Rams included Tara McWilliams, who was second in the 2000 free (1:58.59); Tressa Dunn, who placed second in the 50 free (25.47); Marina Montoya, who took second in the 200 IM (2:14.37) and Katelynn Gray, who took second in the 200 fly (2:11.97).

In women's relays, the Fordham 400 medley relay team of Cosentino, Marshall, Kim Bouton and Dunn won the event in a time of 4:01.54.

The men also had two dual-event winners as Justin Coombs won the 100 (48.64) and 200 free (1:46.13) and Donnie Callara took first on the one (276.98) and three meter (313.35) boards.

Other event winners for the men were Conor Doherty, who took the 200 fly (2:02.78) and Sean Terry, who won the 200 breaststroke (2:13.38).

Other men who scored for the Rams included were Billy Colton, who second in the 200 IM (2:00.98), just 0.94 seconds behind the winner, while also placing second in the 200 back (1:57.44); Ryan Coombs, who was second in the 500 (4:42.56) and 1000 free (9:50.66); Matthew Cordes, who placed second in the 200 fly (2:05.54) and Giuseppe Saffos, who was 200 breaststroke (2:18.06).

In men's relay action, the 400 medley relay team of Robert Gitman, Terry, Jeremy Capriglione and Brian Jucas was victorious in a time of 3:35.51.

The Fordham men's and women's swimming and diving squads will next be in action on Saturday, November 17th when they host Duquesne and Rhode Island in a tri-meet at the Col. Francis B. Messmore Aquatic Center at 12:30 PM.
