.: Ohio State Takes Home Big Ten Weekly Awards

Swimmer of the Week
Matt Voelker, Ohio State

Voelker claimed two first-place finishes last week in a 147-82 victory over Cleveland State.  The Columbus, Ohio native set personal and team season-best times in the 50- and 100-yard freestyles, touching the wall at 20.74 and 45.63, respectively.  The Buckeyes are now 4-0 on the season as they gear up to host the third annual Ohio State Swimming and Diving Invitational, beginning Nov. 30.  This marks Voelker's first career weekly honor.

Diver of the Week
Sean Moore, Ohio State

Moore swept the diving competitions to garner his first and second collegiate wins in Ohio State's 147-82 romp over Cleveland State last week.  His winning score of 357.82 from the one-meter board posted a margin of victory of nearly 18 points over the second-place finisher.  The freshman's three-meter performance yielded a mark of 404.10, which just missed the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion record of 406.75 (Kellen Harkness - 2/17/07).  Moore picks up his first career weekly award.
