Seven months after claiming the 2006-07 NCAA Division II men's and women's championships, the Drury Panthers are prowling the top of the CollegeSwimming.com Division II team rankings. On the women's side its the Coyotes chasing the Panthers. The University of South Dakota - fresh off their October 123-120 upset of North Dakota, occupy their highest position in poll history - ranking second less than two points behind the lead. Conference rivals Saint Cloud State and Minnesota State occupy the third and fourth slots while Delta State sits fifth.
For the men, its Grand Valley State sitting second - a distant twelve points behind Drury. Saint Cloud State, Delta State and Southern Connecticut round out the top five.
The Division II rankings utilize a common scoring systems to rank teams on a theoretical dual-meet lineup.
