Women Recap:
Bentley senior Liza Connolly (Washington, Conn./Shepaug Valley HS) won three individual events and anchored the winning 200 yard medley relay team, but it wasn’t enough as the Falcons dropped a 134-128 decision to Bryant University Saturday afternoon in the Dana Center pool.
Connolly opened the meet by teaming with sophomore Kristen Reinckens (Hudson, N.Y./Hudson HS), freshman Anne Kaduboski (Dedham/Dedham HS) and junior Kaitlin Chepeleff (Vernon, Conn./Rockville HS) for a winning time of 1:56.59 in the 200 medley.
Connolly swept the three shortest freestyle events, with times of 25.91 in the 50, 56.37 in the 100 and 2:00.96 in the 200.
Chepeleff and Kaduboski each won two events. Chepeleff touched first in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.09) and the 200 breast (2:33.95) while Kaduboski was victorious in the 200 butterfly (2:15.16) and the 100 fly (1:01.54).
Bryant, off to a 4-0 start, set five school records in the first dual meet between the two institutions and was led by freshman Amy Howell (Clifton Park, N.Y.). She swam to two wins, the 1,000 free (11:04.63) and the 500 free (5:25.88), and set school records in the 1000 and the 200 fly (2:18.25).
Bentley, 1-2, will swim at Brandeis University Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.

Men Recap:
Freshman Tom Ferrigno (West Chester, Pa.) won three individual events and set two of his team’s eight new school records as Bryant University improved to 4-0 with a 145-117 win over Bentley in men’s college swimming Saturday afternoon at the Dana Center pool.
Bentley, which dropped its first of the season after two wins, was paced by sophomore Sam Laden (Cheshire, Conn./Cheshire HS), who recorded two of his team’s three first-place finishes. Laden captured the 200 yard breaststroke (2:19.12) and the 100 individual medley (57.94), and was also second in the 100 breast (1:02.53).
The only other winner for the Falcons was senior Arthur Engelhard (Apalachin, N.Y./Owego Free Academy). His victory came in the 100 butterfly, with a time of 56.67 seconds, and he also was second in the 100 backstroke (55.71) and the 200 back (2:04.72).
Ferrigno finished first in the 1000 free (10:27.15), 100 back (55.11) and the 200 back (2:01.14) before swimming the first leg of the winning 400 yard freestyle relay. His times in both backstroke events were school records.
Bentley is back in action Tuesday night at Brandeis (6:30 p.m.).
