The No. 6 USC men's swimming team completed its home season with a 141-118 non-conference victory over UC Santa Barbara as Trojan seniors competed at McDonald's Swim Stadium for a final time on a brisk Saturday (Jan. 6) afternoon. The No. 11 USC women were similarly successful with a 149-111 victory over the Gauchos who dropped to 2-4.
At a school with a storied distance swimming tradition, senior Larsen Jensen might be the greatest and he finished his home career with wins in the 500y (4:34.81) and 1,000y free (9:16.83), very easy-going swims by his standards.
Fellow senior Joon Youm won the 100y breast (57.41), senior Gergely Meszaros won the 100y free (46.53) and senior Viktor Bodrogi won the 100y back (1:48.84), each posting victories in their final home meet. Meszaros also took second in the 200y free (1:41.58).

Gosper, USC's fastest 50y free swimmer this season, won the event Saturday in 20.40 with senior Sean Sussex right behind him (20.57). Freshman Shane Tusup took second in the 100y back in 53.01.
Soni swept the 200y breast in a breezy (for her) 2:17.03 and winning the 400y IM in 4:24.15. Fellow sophomore Katy Houston was second in both.
Senior Kristina Sieper (season-best 1:02.92) and sophomore Missy McIntyre (1:03.54) finished 1-2 in the 100y breast.
