Meet Results

The Bucknell swimming and diving squads took part in their last meet of the season before the Patriot League Championships as the squads competed on Saturday in the non-scored Bison Invitational alongside league opponents American, Lafayette and Navy.
 
Freshman Lauren Arey (Charlotte, N.C./South Mecklenburg) and sophomore Alexandra Lovallo (Ridgefield, Conn./Ridgefield) both posted personal bests in the meet. Arey’s came in the 200 free, where she took second with a time of one minute, 57.60 seconds, and in the 500 free with her third-place time of 5:15.76. Lovallo set a personal-best in the 50 free to take the runner-up spot in the event with a time of 24.91 and also swam the 100 free in 54.55 to take third.
 
Junior Emmie Gallardo (Wayne, N.J./Wayne Hills) posted a runner-up finish for Bucknell in the 200 breast, touching the wall in 2:32.01 and was fourth in the 100 breast with a time of 1:11.26. Sophomore Christina Faurie (Export, Pa./Franklin Regional) and senior Alex List (Red Bank, N.J./Red Bank Regional) both turned in runner-up performances as well, as Faurie recorded her fastest time of the season in the 100 fly (1:01.57) and List swam a season-best 5:15.66 in the 500 free.
 
Leslie DiMichele (Ipswich, Mass./Ipswich) claimed fifth in the 200 breast in 2:33.95 and was sixth in the 100 breast with a time of 1:11.80. Both were season-best marks for the senior.
 
Freshman Abigail Atkinson (Newton, Conn./Newton) rounded out the top finishers for the Bison women, with a fourth-place showing in the 200 IM (2:15.09).
 
Freshman David Iselin (Potomac, Md./Churchill) was the lone male swimmer in action on Saturday for the Orange and Blue as he took fourth in the 500 free with a time of 4:52.96.
 
Bucknell will be idle next weekend as the teams prepare to host the Patriot League Championships on Feb. 15-17, in Kinney Natatorium.
