.: Texas, Georgia Masters Selected for Olympic Spots

The rumors circulating around the ASCA clinic are proving to be true. The Associated Press, Athens Banner-Herald, and Atlanta Journal-Constitution are releasing stories tomorrow that a pair of coaches used to working with superstars will head the US contingent going to Beijing for the 2008 Olympics. University of Georgia head coach Jack Bauerle and Texas men's coach Eddie Reese will be named head women's and men's coaches for the upcoming Olympic effort. Both selections are pending approval by the U.S. Olympic Committee.
Bauerle has coached several Olympians including Maritza Correia, Kara Lynn Joyce, Kristy Kowal, and Courtney Shealy. Reese has had his share of Olympic success as well with Ian Crocker, Brendan Hansen, Aaron Peirsol, Neil Walker and Nate Dusing all training under his watch in recent years. For Reese it's the second-straight term.
The official announcement will come at a news conference later Friday at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.
