.: IU's Roberts Collects Big Ten Diver of Week Award

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. , November 1st, 2006

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Indiana diver Taylor Roberts was named the Big Ten Diverof  the  Week  after  helping  the  Hoosiers  go  1-1  against  a  pair  of  ranked  opponents,  theleague office announced Oct. 31. Roberts won three of the four events he entered on the week. The Aurora, Colo., juniorswept the springboards in an IU loss to No. 8 Northwestern on Oct. 27, scoring 348.00 totake the one-meter and 328.35 to win the three-meter. Roberts again claimed victory inthe one-meter in a win over No. 19 Arizona State on Oct. 28, scoring 361.50 points in theevent. The award is the second of Roberts' career, and first this season. "It was well deserved," head diving coach Dr. Jeff Huber said. "They're working hard,and hard work always pays off. I was pleased, and we looked good for this time of year,better than we did last year, but we've got a lot of work ahead of us. It's nice to get alittle pat on the back, but we want to be the best, so it's going to take a lot more effort." Indiana returns to action on Friday, Nov. 3, in the first day of a two-day meet against No.

4 Texas and No. 6 California in Austin, Texas.
