Washington College Sweeps Bryn Mawr, Randolph-Macon

The Washington College women's swim team swept a tri-meet Saturday, defeating Centennial Conference rival and host Bryn Mawr, 157-38, and besting non-conference foe Randolph-Macon, 134-63.

Junior Ally Simons (Camp Hill, PA/Cumberland Valley) swam a 1:02.13 in the 100 butterfly, good for first place against both Bryn Mawr and Randolph-Macon. Her time of 2:19.18 in the 200 individual medley took first place against Bryn Mawr and second against Randolph-Macon.

Freshman Brittany Siburt (Stevensville, MD/Kent Island) swam a 11:35.74 in the 1,000 freestyle, good for first place against both Bryn Mawr and Randolph-Macon. Siburt also finished second against Bryn Mawr and Randolph-macon in the 500 freestyle with a time of 5:46.18.

Junior Erin Jones (Crofton, MD/Arundel) finished first in the 500 freestyle against both Bryn Mawr and Randolph-Macon in 5:42.94. Jones also finished second against both Bryn Mawr and Randolph-Macon in the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 11:43.09.

Junior Caitlin Auger (McLean, VA/McLean) recorded a time of 26.31 in the 50 freestyle, good for first against both Bryn Mawr and Randolph-Macon.

Sophomore Megan Morse (Easton, MD/Sts. Peter & Paul) swam a 2:00.36 in the 200 freestyle, and a 56.25 in the 100 freestyle, both good for first against both Bryn Mawr and Randolph-Macon.

Sophomore Nicole Ludwig (Brielle, NJ/Manasquan) swam a 1:14.25 in the 100 breaststroke, good for first against Bryn Mawr and Randolph-Macon.

Junior Liz Shoemaker (Berwyn, PA/Conestoga) swam a 1:02.63 in the 100 backstroke, good for first against Bryn Mawr.

The Shorewomen's team of Liz Shoemaker, Simons, Auger and freshman Andrea Cole (Felton, DE) took first in the 200 medley relay in 1:58.73 against both Bryn Mawr and Randolph-Macon.

Washington returns home on Saturday, Jan. 21 with a 1 p.m. meet against Centennial Conference foe Dickinson.
