Freshman Amato had an outstanding day for the Tigers capturing three events. Amato won the 200-individual medley with a time of 1:58.51 and the 200-backstroke by touching in a 1:55.95, the top Tiger time this season. Amato was also the lead leg on the 400-medley relay that captured the event in a time of 3:35.80, the fastest time of the season.
Abbruzzese captured both the one-meter dive (243.52) and three-meter dive (233.48) as Delaware defeated Towson 119-112 Saturday in the final home dual meet of the season. Delaware won its second straight meet to improve to 3-6 (1-4 CAA). Delaware won its first-ever CAA dual meet, snapping a streak of 24 straight CAA setbacks and 26 overall conference losses dating back to January of 2000.
Junior Lebherz posted two individual wins against Delaware on Jan. 14. Lebherz captured the 200-free with a time of 1:55.73 and won the 200-individual medley with a time of 2:13.17. She also placed second in the 500-free with a mark of 5:09.86.
Oliver captured both the one-meter dive (240.37) and three-meter dive (217.43) as Delaware defeated Towson Saturday by a 142-99 score in the final home dual meet of the season. The Delaware women won their sixth straight meet to improve to 9-1 (5-1 CAA) and defeated Towson for the first second time in the last three years.
