Visiting Swarthmore College topped host Washington College, 113-92, in Centennial Conference women's swimming this evening at Casey Swim Center. The men also fell to Swarthmore 122-81.

For the women, sophomore Megan Morse won the 200 freestyle for Washington in 1:59.93 and was second in the 100 freestyle in 55.66. Sophomore Nicole Ludwig took first place in the 200 breaststroke in 2:34.90, while junior Liz Shoemaker finished first in the 200 backstroke in 2:14.88.

Junior Ally Simons swam WC season-best times in the 200 individual medley (2:15.15) and the 200 butterfly (2:15.79) to finish second in both events. Junior Caitlin Auger added a second-place finish in the 200 backstroke (2:18.30), while freshman Andrea Cole took second in the 200 breaststroke (2:39.58) and junior Erin Jones was second in the 500 freestyle (5:34.74). Junior Kimmy Kraeer placed second in the 50 freestyle (26.14) and freshman Brittany Siburt was second in the 1000 freestyle (11:20.98).

For the men, sophomore Alex Thomas and junior Colin Soper each won two events for the Shoremen.

Thomas won the 200 individual medley in a WC season-best time of 2:04.74 and the 200 breaststroke in 2:19.82. Soper took first in the 200 freestyle in 1:50.50 and in the 100 freestyle in 49.32.

Sophomore Brandon Becker finished second in the 50 freestyle (23.32) and the 200 backstroke (2:09.76), while freshman Dan Wentzel was second in the 500 freestyle (5:11.33).

Becker, Soper, Thomas, and Wentzel swam a WC season-best time of 1:42.04 in the 200 medley relay to finish second.
