.: UNLV Defeats New Mexico 133-95

ALBUQUERQUE, NM , February 5th, 2006

The UNLV women’s swimming and diving team won it second Mountain West Conference swim meet in as many days, this time a 133-95 win at New Mexico on Saturday afternoon. The meet wasn’t nearly as close as the score indicated, as the Rebels not only won the first eight events, they placed one-two in six of the first eight events before exhibitioning the final five races of the day to finish the regular season with a 7-4 record, 6-2 in the MWC.

Marina Sandback was a double-event winner for UNLV, taking the 50 (24.45) and 100 frees (52.77). Also winning events on the day for UNLV was Kari Nettenstrom in the 1000 free (11:06.85), Lani Seaman in the 200 free (1:58.67), , Ana Danglakova in the 400 IM (4:37.08), Tiffany Vincent in the 100 fly (1:00.01), and Jessie Bradshaw in the 100 back (49.75). Nichole McLean added a win on the 3-meter board (260.55), while Bradshaw, Bailey Kuestermeyer, Vincent, and Lauren Browning took first in the 200 medley relay in 1:49.63.
